I love the Thakoon and Vena Cava Resort 2011 collection!  It's so summer, I just want it all.  Take a look for yourself and see what you think.

Thakoon described it as "A Parisian going to Africa", can you see it?  I can.  I love how the pictures are slightly off, especially in the first picture, where you can see graffiti on the building in the back.  And I love the sheerness of the pants in the third picture.  They go all the way to the ankles, but the sheerness makes it so sensual!

Vena Cava 

I absolutely love this collection! It's so simple but so chic, which is exactly what I try to do.  There's a lot of white in this collection, which is my favorite color, especially for summer.  I'm going shopping tomorrow, and I think these two collections ended my fashion slump.  

Target Stikes Again!!

Well dearies, John Paul Gaultier is coming to Target on March 7.  I am so excited! You have no idea.  But if you do, then you know what it means right?  My birthday is coming up on Febuary 28. wink, wink.  I love Target so much, and and Zac Posen's line is gonna be here in April.  It's gonna be a great year!

the cake with a moral

Once upon a time, my friends and I spent 7 hours decorating a cake to the theme of Alice in Wonderland.  This was no ordinary cake, no.  This cake was born to be in the annual cake pagent at the local circus (school).  We were proud parents of our very own cake baby, I smiled as it walked me to the Media Center. 

 And , to make this story short, we didn't win anything except compliments and votes that weren't enough. Sigh.  The other cakes were like ooh-that-looks-cool cakes.  And ours was like gasp-that-is-too-cute-to be-real, you know? I know what I'm talking about.  And the moral of the story is....if your not first your last, and beauty is in the eye if the beholder, and no matter what, my cake is the best.  And!!! Friendship is like peeing in your pants, other people can see it, but only you can feel it's warmth.  I love you Kayla, Chelsea, Meagan, and Ashley!!

P.S.  Here is a picture of our gasp-that-is-too-cute-to-be-real cake.  But they were taken on Chelsea's phone, so it doesn't look it's cutest.  And I'm too lazy to put my own pictures up.

I just fell in love with Tim Walker's photography. I gasped and oohed and aahed at all the pictures, which are so magical and fairytale-ish. So i just sat and stared and wished I was the girl in the picture.

When I grow up and I have my dream house and my dream life, I'll invite you over for tea and we'll  talk about fairytales and happy endings and how our biggest problem was writing a lab report for chemistry.

While I'm on the subject of fairytales, I went to see The Princess and the Frog (while wearing a tiara through the mall) last night and it was awesome!

Anyways, I'm gonna go to sleep now and dream about Tim Walker's world.

The Victoria Secret Fashion Show...

which happened tuesday was fun.  I always look forward to it, not for the fashion but because it's so much fun.  The models smile and blow kisses, which is a nice change, and overall the mood is exciting.  Plus, Miranda Kerr is in it.

If you like to waltz with potatoes

The other night I stood in front of my door and smelt the air.  It felt like the air at my father's village on the border of Thailand and Burma (Myanmar now, I like Burma better) and smelt like it too.  Does that ever happen to you?  When you see or smell something and it takes you back to another time and place? I love it when that happens.  Nostalgia is one of my favorite feelings.
